Once In a While, Just Go With the Flow

Sales is hard. And sometimes we make it a lot harder than it needs to be. We spend hours compiling lists, cold calling prospects, and engaging people on social media. Maybe the best sales opportunity is right in front of your eyes.
It could be a prospect who has viewed your LinkedIn profile or website multiple times. Reach out to him. Maybe it's a favorite former client, someone you haven't spoken to in years because she's now at a different company. Pick up the phone and give her a call. Or maybe it's even an existing account who just continually orders from you. Reach out and catch up.
In our continual effort to outwork the competition, maybe the best opportunities are staring us in the face, but we just don't recognize it. Once in a while, maybe it's a good idea to sit back, and go with the flow.
